In April 2017, Concord Orthopaedics made a $10,000 donation to the New Hampshire Food Bank in honor of the patients, primary care physicians, nurses, clinical support staff, physical therapists, and other medical personnel that Concord Orthopaedics works with throughout the year. "We feel blessed to be able to make a donation to the New Hampshire Food Bank as it plays such a crucial role in the lives of so many people in need," said Peter Noordsij, MD, chief executive officer of Concord Orthopaedics. "We appreciate the support of our medical colleagues and our patients as they are the ones who help make it possible for us to support great organizations like the Food Bank." In March 2013, Concord Orthopaedics donated $25,000 to the New Hampshire Food Bank's Mission Possible capital campaign. The contribution directly supports the NH Food Bank's new distribution facility. "Every day the physicians and staff at Concord Orthopaedics strive to improve our patients' lives," said Douglas J. Moran, M.D. "In restoring one's ability to recreate, or perhaps just be able to walk or lift one's arm, we believe the quality of life is promoted. Yet, what is more, basic in living a healthy life than food? We are honored to be a part of the selfless efforts of those who feed the most needy and commend the Food Bank for all it does for the people of New Hampshire." The Health Education Center at New Hampshire Technical Institute received a major grant from Concord Orthopaedics in 2007. This new education center allows NHTI to increase enrollment and improve the quality of their nursing program responding to the shortage of nurses in New Hampshire. We recognize the need for quality nursing/health education in New Hampshire and are pleased to support NHTI in this endeavor. NHTI now offers an orthopaedic technology degree. Concord Orthopaedics is proud to partner with NHTI in offering student internships for students pursuing both a nursing and an orthopaedic career.
